RPA at PACK EXPO 2010

The RPA Reusable Pack­ag­ing Pavil­ion at PACK EXPO pro­vided atten­dees with a com­pre­hen­sive, one-stop source of infor­ma­tion and resources for pack­ag­ing pro­fes­sion­als look­ing for new sus­tain­able pack­ag­ing solu­tions. Within the Reusable Pack­ag­ing Pavil­ion, atten­dees had access to all the types of sup­pli­ers required to inte­grate reusable pack­ag­ing in a sup­ply chain, includ­ing man­u­fac­tur­ers, ser­vice providers and tech­nol­ogy sup­pli­ers of reusable trans­port pack­ag­ing solu­tions. The com­pa­nies rep­re­sented in the pavil­ion are among the top sup­pli­ers of reusable pack­ag­ing and their knowl­edge­able staffs pro­vided atten­dees with the infor­ma­tion they need to make informed and cost-effective buy­ing deci­sions about mov­ing their value-added prod­ucts through the sup­ply chain.

The Reusable Pack­ag­ing Pavil­ion was located on the upper level of Lake­side East Hall in Chicago’s McCormick Place.

Fun­da­men­tals of Reusable Pack­ag­ing Workshop

On Tues­day after­noon at PACKEXPO, the RPA pre­sented its Fun­da­men­tals of Reusable Pack­ag­ing Work­shop to a group of about 70 end users and mem­bers. RPA pre­sen­ters Jon Kalin of Rehrig Pacific, Bob Klimko of ORBIS Cor­po­ra­tion, Lane Pence of CHEP USA, Drew Mer­rill and Keith Schall of CAPS, and Lyle Schmitt of John Deere Com­pany out­lined for atten­dees the first of four phases – Under­stand­ing — of imple­ment­ing a reusable pack­ag­ing strat­egy in a sup­ply chain. The remain­ing three phases are Accep­tance, Imple­men­ta­tion and Refine­ment.

RPA Net­work­ing Reception

Fol­low­ing the RPA work­shop the RPA hosted a spe­cial Net­work­ing Recep­tion spon­sored by RPA mem­ber Schoeller Arca Sys­tems Inc.  The packed event pro­vided RPA mem­bers and their guests a time to unwind and relax after a busy day at the show.  RPA  Chair­man, Jon Kalin, Rehrig Pacific and Walt Tullis, VP Sales and Mar­ket­ing for Schoeller Arca Sys­tems wel­comed the guests and thanked them for vis­it­ing the pavil­ion and attend­ing the workshop.
