The RPA sponsored the first-ever Reusable Packaging Pavilion at this year’s PACK EXPO in Chicago, October 31 – November 3. 13 members of the association participated in the pavilion showcasing their products, services and technology. “The purpose of the RPA pavilion was to highlight the significant contributions the reusable packaging industry is making in today’s marketplace,” said Jerry Welcome, RPA president. This was a perfect opportunity for our members to demonstrate the sustainable environmental, social and economic benefits of reusable packaging to a broad-based packaging audience,” he added.
The show attracted more than 44,000 participants from all over the world. This was the first time that RPA brought together all its exhibiting members in one location.

With more than 1600 exhibitors it is very difficult for end users to identify or find solution providers for a particular packaging problem. The beauty of the pavilion was RPA brought all their solution providers together in one easy to find location in the Lakeside building at McCormick Place.
Exhibitors also brought knowledgeable staff members along to answer questions and help first time buyers make informed decisions right there on the show floor.
The RPA also sponsored a complimentary Fundamentals of Reusable Packaging Workshop for end users to provide them with helpful information and directional tools to guide them through the first stages of implementing a reusable packaging supply chain solution. The RPA is committed to increasing the use of reusable packaging solution in the marketplace.
