CAPS Recognized for Technology & Supply Chain Innovation

Livonia, MI – April 4th, 2013 – CAPS (Container and Pooling Solutions), has been awarded for its leadership in technology and supply chain innovations.  The company’s recent credits include being named to Food Logistics 2012 Top 100 Technology Providers list, as well as having CAPS CEO, Robert Wiedmaier, named a 2012 Pro to Know by Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine.

The annual FL100 list highlights software and technology providers helping food and beverage manufacturers, foodservice distributors, and grocery retailers attain their business goals.  This marks the 5th consecutive year CAPS has been named among other prestigious software, equipment and technology companies for playing a significant role in food and beverage supply chains.  CAPS earned a spot on this year’s list as a result of enhancements to their CAPS-TRAC™ container tracking software that enables customers to easily access near real-time reports on critical control point data tracked throughout their supply chain.  As food and beverage customers continue to modify HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) plans in order to comply with recent FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act) regulations, this has become increasingly important.

In addition to the FL100, Robert Wiedmaier, CAPS CEO, was recently acknowledged by Supply & Demand Chain Executive as a 2012 Pro to Know.  For the 4th year in a row, Wiedmaier has been acknowledged among an esteemed group of leaders working year-round to improve the supply chains of their clients.  The annual Pro to Know program features exceptional supply chain executives at manufacturing and non-manufacturing enterprises who lead initiatives to help prepare their companies supply chains for significant challenges ahead. The leaders selected this year are helping the supply chain to become increasingly recognized as a strategic differentiator crucial to meeting the challenges created by an ever-changing market.

“By continually developing innovative supply chain solutions and making enhancements through cutting edge technology, we allow our customers to stay a step ahead in a constantly changing market,” explains Robert Wiedmaier, CAPS’ CEO.  “We will continue to stay abreast of changing industry regulations and ensure the products and services we provide directly support the key goals of our customers.  We are honored to receive these awards in recognition of our continued efforts.”
