iGPS Announces Appointment of Phil Prain, Jr. as Chief Technology Officer

ORLANDO, Fla., Aug. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ — Intelligent Global Pooling Systems (iGPS Company, LLC), provider of the world’s first pallet rental solution featuring lightweight, 100% recyclable plastic pallets with embedded radio frequency identification (RFID) tags, announced today that Phil Prain, Jr. has been appointed Chief Technology Officer of the company. In addition, Jack Sparn, who has served as Chief Information Officer for several years, has taken on the new role of Chief Innovation Officer.

Prain joins iGPS from Martin-Brower where he was Vice President, European Operations, a position with both operational and financial responsibility. Martin-Brower is the largest provider of logistics services to McDonald’s restaurants. He has also held senior positions at Metroplex Harriman Corp., another major distribution company. Prain has an honors degree from the University of Kent at Canterbury in Computer Science and studied management at the University of Luton Business School in the UK.

Sparn is a supply chain veteran with over 30 years of experience in information technology and information services. In addition to serving as CIO of iGPS, he has been a consultant to some of the largest supply chain logistics and billing companies in the country, and previously served as chief information officer for CHEP International, Inc.
