Jacobs & Thompson has acquired all the assets of Worldwide Foam, Ltd, effective February 1, 2018. For clarity purposes, Worldcell Extrusions will continue to operate as a separate company. Jacobs & Thompson assume all of the rights, duties, obligations and assets of the previous ownership and continue to operate as it is. Don Frandsen will continue as general manager and all employees are being retained in their current roles. “I am confident the Worldwide Foam team will continue to meet or exceed customer expectations,” notes Frandsen.
For the past 10 years, Worldwide Foam has grown through its goal of providing “A better way to buy closed cell foam.” Short lead times, wide-ranging product line, and excellent customer service have been its hallmarks. We will maintain this relentless focus on the customer.
J&T has been around for over 70 years and specializes in the distribution of elastomeric cellular materials with and without adhesive to converters and fabricators across North America. We will now be able to expand this offering to include cross linked polyethylene in sheet and roll stock. Likewise, the depth & breadth of materials and formats available to you from Worldwide Foam will grow as we begin to roll out the full J&T product line to the Worldwide Foam locations.
This important addition to our industrial business group will allow the North American foam fabricating and converting base to continue to grow and compete in the global marketplace.
