KLW Plastics announced today that they have selected RockTenn’s precision mandrel formed Meta® corrugated case to combine with their E-Tainer™ lightweight and semi-rigid containers. Bringing together these two unique technologies creates an innovative packaging solution for the industrial and agri-chem industries.
The E-Tainer™ Hybrid lightweight container can be made from 60-100 percent post-consumer resin. When combined with the precision mandrel formed Meta® corrugated case, which uses less fiber while delivering greater strength than standard corrugated cases, the E-Tainer™ Hybrid lightweight container delivers optimum strength with plastic weight reduction of 15-30 percent, while maintaining container integrity. With these products, industrial container users can reduce virgin plastic content, reuse containers, and reduce container weights of both plastic and corrugated materials. Both products are 100 percent recyclable.
