IFCO SYSTEMS is pleased to introduce three new additions to its existing portfolio of reusable plastic containers (RPCs) for three different commodities: bananas; eggs; and strawberries. Each of the new containers was specifically designed to meet the unique needs of its respective product, ensuring higher quality at the retail store and greater supply chain efficiencies. Alameda County public agency StopWaste.Org has been awarded $499,000 in U.S. EPA grant funding to expand the reach of their successful “Use Reusables” campaign (www.usereusables.com) to businesses and communities nationwide, over the next three years.

The RPA Asset Loss Working Group is conducting an industry survey to help us identify the average annual loss of reusable assets by industry sector. Asset loss presents a significant market risk for reusable transport packaging manufacturers and users. To help us address this issue the RPA is undertaking several initiatives to help us to better address the underlying issues and identify solutions which could help mitigate losses by our customers.
