The interest of major corporations in taking a strategic approach to transport packaging continues to grow. Case in point, Rehrig Bulk Pooling Services (Rehrig BPS) has reached an agreement with Ball Corporation to provide complete transport packaging services and management for 15 Ball beverage can plants in North America. Rehrig BPS will manage all requirements for handling and reverse logistics that are necessary to service and maintain Ball’s reusable packaging assets. Ball’s pallets, top frames and separator sheets, used in the storage and transport of empty metal containers, will be recovered, sorted, inspected and cleaned/repaired upon return from Ball’s customers.
