Confusion about deadlines established under the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) has been heightened, in part, by shifting Food & Drug Administration (FDA) timelines. Even after the rules become final, most companies affected will be given one to three years to comply. Produce farms will have from two to four years to comply.

International Contract Molding, LLC (ICM) names Steve Verschaeve as the new General Manager for their North American operations headquartered out of Charlotte, North Carolina. Verschaeve will lead ICM’s two distinct development teams. Over three quarters of supply chain executives and operations managers predict their firms will increase their focus on sustainability over the next three years, according to a survey.
The poll, conducted by PwC and the APICS Foundation and titled “Sustainable Supply Chains: Making Value the Priority,” found 43 per cent of respondents attributed cost reduction to supply chain sustainability initiatives and 35 per cent reported improvements in their company’s environmental impact.
