RPA interviews Brian Martin, VP of Remcon Plastics and one of the new members joining RPA in 2012. Before joining Remcon Plastics, Brian Martin worked 14 years in the steel industry with Nucor Steel and Handy & Harman in a variety of positions. Prior to that, he worked for three years with CertainTeed Corporation.
For the third consecutive year, the RPA sponsored an educational track at PACK EXPO, providing an opportunity to educate attendees about the benefits of reusables in general as well as promote reusable transport packaging services and products. The “Use Reusables” campaign, led by public agency Stopwaste.Org, has released its second round of grant funding for organizations that are planning to incorporate reusable packaging into their transportation and distribution systems. Eligible projects include those that replace single- or limited-use packaging with durable pallets, totes or bins, reusable pallet wrap or other packaging solutions that significantly reduce expendable packaging.
