Over three quarters of supply chain executives and operations managers predict their firms will increase their focus on sustainability over the next three years, according to a survey.

The poll, conducted by PwC and the APICS Foundation and titled “Sustainable Supply Chains: Making Value the Priority,” found 43 per cent of respondents attributed cost reduction to supply chain sustainability initiatives and 35 per cent reported improvements in their company’s environmental impact.

– Friday is the final day to enter a submission for the Reusable Packaging Association’s third annual Excellence in Reusable Packaging Award. The award, sponsored by International Contract Molding, LLC, (ICM) an Otto Company, recognizes companies that have developed, supported, or implemented measurable and innovative reusable solutions in a business-to-business supply chain. Non-members as well as members of the RPA are encouraged to enter. Submissions will be reviewed by an independent committee of judges who are not members of the RPA.
